@broyomama The same "equality in marriage" argument was used to promote bans on interracial marriage (that everyone had the equal right to marry within the same race). That argument failed in Loving v. Virginia as unconstitutional, and for good reason. Individuals, not groups, have rights - and each person has the right to marry the person they love.
