@MEpearlA It's true, I leave out cat food and over-ripe (not rotten) fruits and veggies on my porch for the strays, raccoons, and the opossums. I mean, they scare the business out of me, but I don't have vole problems anymore.

Pink yes, red no. Have her checked by a wildlife savvy veterinarian. These can be found by contacting the National Opossum Society or the Opossum Society of the United States.
Both are excellent organizations with experts on board. Good Luck

We didn't have room for a pizza in our freezer, so I put it on our deck (it's like 10 degrees outside) and I turned on our deck light and there was an opossum! I was terrified and grossed out! Is it bad to have them around your property? :(

You are fortunate to have possums on your property.
They are natural gardeners. They eat what is over-ripe plus rid you of plant damaging insects. They also hold down the rat and mouse population without bothering you at all. Next time you see the possie just snarl and hiss back, while keeping a respectful distance.

Did you just dump the water in the floor? lol No offense,But i'm terrified of opossums! i have a couple running around outside of a night...I sure hope I never get too close to one!
