And yes, if you've studied psychology then you should have an idea on how certain tricks work. If you do something that a person is unaccustomed to, they won't know how to react in the situation. In this situation, there was no snap. There was no hustle or rush from offense. It was just "hey, take the ball and casually walk past the line", which is what an average football player wouldn't be familiar with.
