@JayInWonderland It's important to remember that in acting, much like any other career, you get out what you put in. If you have the drive, persistence and dedication, acting can be not only professionally, but financially, rewarding.

In the Acting for Film & Television program at VFS you will learn audition techniques that will make you feel ready to walk into any casting room and blow them away. You will understand the importance of branding yourself as an actor while maintaining and nurturing your artistic abilities. From headshots to preparing your resume, cover letter, and demo reel, the VFS Acting program makes sure that you graduate ready to hit the ground running!

@haris09823091724 If you are asking about our 2-day Educational Experience at VFS happening in Spring 2010 - this year is the first time we are running such an event for High School students. We would hope to run it every year if it is a success, so watch this space! Find out more information at vfs(dot)com/standout

We also run Summer Intensives annually, which gives you the chance to experience VFS and our 13 entertainment arts programs for a week here in Vancouver.

@KOundCO Firstly, thanks for your kind words about our school!

We primarily teach Maya and/or XSI, along with Zbrush, Renderman, and others, depending on what a student needs to accomplish. Although we don't really "teach software". We teach core skills and how to use software as a tool. We have facilities open 24/7 for our students to make the most of their time here. At the Animation campus, you will have access to all the programs and equipment needed to complete your studies.

and i´ve one more question..:
do the students have to buy the programs and other equipment (camcorder etc) by their own or does the school pay?
KOundCO (1 hour ago)
i´ve two little questions:
1. I saw on your hp that a partnership of vfs is autodesk. do you use maya or 3ds max, or both of them?
2. is it a must , add a video to the application?

ps: vfs is the greatest film school i´ve ever seen... in a few years after my year in usa (for learning english)
i will try to come on vfs.... I also have to learn some programs better, so i would be very happy if you answerd...

Greetings VFS! During the 80s I spent many hours learning new things at SVA (New School) New York City. I'm open to any aspiring directors who need cooperative exchange with someone (me) in London, UK. Best, JP Fenyo, The Original New York City Free Advice Man (see The New Yorker, August 17, 1987).

After graduating from VFS for acting, is it hard to find work?
VancouverFilmSchool (3 days ago)
@haris09823091724 If you are asking do we accept flash movies in your portfolio as part of your application, then yes we will take those into consideration. We would ideally love to see some of your previous 3D work, but if that is not an option we will often accept a combination of other computer work (e.g. Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, etc.). Check out the full program requirements on our website vfs(dot)com/3D
