Until I buy a new video camera, this page will be static. I am attempting to show the public just a little bit of what Ham Radio is all about, and especially that you don't need to be rich to have a useful station. I am also trying to show that you can be an Amateur Radio operator in an apartment.

What would you suggest for a first timer? I plan on making a tube preamp, as simple as I can get.

It needs to be able to handle the load of an active bass guitar (9V on-board preamp) and needs to be able to drive the power amplifier section of a solid state bass amp head.

No EQ section is fine. I will only need tube gain for an attempt on getting tube overdrive.

Or would you suggest constructing a pedal instead of a preamp?

Something low cost is great as well. This is my first serious audio project.
