What’s this all about? It’s about our interview this week with special guest Jay Baer and a point he makes in his keynote about how in social media, our posts are not just showing up next to other businesses, but they are sandwiched between school, community, family, kids and wives.
The bottom line is you need to be more interesting than your customer's wife in order to get them to click on your post. So how do we do it? That’s another question altogether.
Another topic we’ll touch on is the bi-directional highway of online / offline for brick and mortars. Of course there’s a need for businesses to get out of the Yellowpages and get onto Google and the question is, “How do we make that transition into the digital space?”
But something that too often gets overlooked is the value of having people talking offline about what they discovered online; hopefully it’s your brand they're talking about.
