Katana Depapepe acoustic guitar cover and percussion by visualgroove. PLAY IN HD AND FULL SCREEN! ;)
As you can see I'm a huge fan of the Japanese duo Depapepe, and I've been in love with this song since more than a year ago. I've been planning to cover this song since then, but I always fail to play it clean. This song is quite fast, and the fingering is a little bit tricky as well. So I decided to completely forget about this song. Not to give up, but attempting to step my game up by doing regular warmups and stuffs to improve the strength and accuracy of my left hand.
Times went by, and at one point, randomly my iTunes (that was put in shuffle) lead me to this song. And that fire to cover burns again. Now I can actually play it way cleaner than my first attempt. All those fingering exercise lessons were finally paid off ;)
Oh, and I always think that this song way groovier (is that even a word) to be played with percussions. I'm now in the UK and I have no drums or cajon whatsoever with me - BUT! My awesome church has a djembe and a heaps set of small percussions. So I decided to borrow one or two pieces of those, and see what happened if I played along with it?
And THAT, up there, is what happened!
Thanks NCLC people Matt Lewis and Joe Draper for letting me borrow the percussions for a day. It sounds fabulous!
So yeah. Hope you enjoy watching the video as much as I did doing that. Don't forget to check my other videos too, and like, and comment, and share!
