The purchasing of oil from the warlords in Sudan is what has financed all the purchasing of weapons used in the genocide against the people in Darfur by their own Sudanese countrymen. And there is no dispute they got this money directly from China. The CCP was/is fully aware of the ramifications of continually funding this group of criminals against humanity but does not care and sees it as just more profit and not their problem. This issue of Darfur is certainly the fault of the CCP. Prime Minister Wen and Hu JinTao and other Top CCP Dogs should be tried in the World Court in the Hague for Crimes against Humanity. It is a disgrace.

The Laogai camps, which are the application of forced labor by the Chinese government, constitute an integral part of China's economy and are viewed by some analysts as institutions of slavery. China in 2009 is a Feudalistic society where 90%+ of the population are slaves (Han peasants) who can't even leave the land of their owners- the CCP, except as migrant workers... Two months ago in Majnu-Ka-Tilla, a Tibetan Refugee/Exile communitee in Delhi, and in Dharamsala, I spoke directly with Tibetans that escaped the occupation of the CCP by making the journey across the Himalayas by foot and crossed the Chinese/Indian or Chines/Nepal boarder with no passport and survived. They have to travel at night and hide by day. They suffer horribly and many lose toes and even whole feet. Many die before reaching the boarder. They are also subject to being shot, or captured by Chinese police/military/boarder control. Nepal has become unsafe recently as well. They are then beaten, incarcerated, tortured and many die in prison or are released at a point of being so badly injured and sick that they die shortly after their release. This has the impression of being done so as to warn other Tibetans of not making such attempts. The brutality and hardship of the reality of this situation is staggering.

Beijing Faces a Fresh Legitimacy Test
For Asia Times, Verna Yu looks at questions over the legitimacy of the CCP on the eve of the Peoples Republics 60th birthday:

At the end of the annual plenary session of the powerful Communist Party Central Committee last week, it candidly admitted that many problems threatened its political standing, including rampant corruption, ethnic tension and social inequality. These problems have harmed the flesh-and-blood ties between the party and people, hampering efforts to consolidate the partys ruling status, and its mission to strictly manage the party has never been so arduous and urgent, the plenum communique stated.

With an estimated 100,000 street riots and disturbances across the country taking place last year, a yawning rich-poor gap and continued ethnic turbulence in Tibet and Xinjiang, Chinese leaders are clearly thinking about how best to continue their rule.

Amid widespread social discontent, many people were now questioning the legitimacy of the Communist Partys rule, said Chinese Academy of Social Sciences historian Zhang Lifan.
