The UK Independence Party is committed to withdrawing Britain from the European Union. As the debate on the Lisbon Treaty has now made clear, the EU agenda is complete political union with all the main functions of national government taken over by the bureaucratic institutions of Brussels.
Because of our commitment to diversity, democracy, and decentralisation, we consider ourselves to be the real pro-Europeans in this debate. We believe that those who are trying to construct a pan-European government are working against the interests of all ordinary European people. The EU seeks to concentrate ever more decision-making power in Brussels when single policies simply cannot suit the different, local needs and aspirations of Europe's diverse countries and people. We are Britains 4th Biggest Political party and have a full raft of policies for how an Independent Britain could and should be run. These can be seen on our official website UKIP.ORG .

It's either UKIP for our future or more corrupt governments who don't give a toss.

The British electorate must not succomb to the deceptive tactics of the Tories - insomuch that they have hinted they support British sovereignty, but have been timid at best in offering a referendum to we, the British citizenry.

UKIP get my vote
daveyboy1929 (1 week ago)
I have been a conservative supporter all my adult life but am not sure now where to place my vote. The present labour government in my estimation is the most corrupt government this country has ever had and we should remember that every time they have left power they have left this country bankrupt.
I want the tory party to guarantee that regardless of the latest signs that the treaty of lisbon will be ratified, they will give the people of the United Kingdom the referendum it has been promised.Failing that i will have to rethink my policy of voting for them. Will the UKIP party give this promise in the unlikely event of them holding some balance of power.

Everyone vote UKIP so that we can be free from this EU tyranny. UKIP is the only true and real protest vote, get them all out as soon as possible and put a UKIP MP as the PM then we'll get some common sense thinking for once!

WCPMC, what makes you think being art of the EU is so great? switzerland and norway aren't in the EU and they have plenty of democracy and their economies are working just fine without being part of a superpower. and a democratic superpower does not sound like a good thing to me, if 26 countries want one thing and the other 1 country doesn't, that one country gets forced against it's will to follow what all the other countries want, and when you look at how diverse the different countries in the EU are, that could happen a lot.

european countries have been governing themselves just fine for hundreds of years, why do we suddenly need this massive oversized government now?
