About Dialogue as gift and task

Having studied and written about intercultural dialogue, I am learning how this is done through the new media, appreciating especially those YouTubers who value truth that is more than knowledge and who seek wisdom (knowledge meditated upon and practiced).

Aside from meditation and some sacred rites, my spiritual practice is threefold: At all times and in all things: Give thanks; Judge not; Love enemies. My teacher is the wounded surgeon, with healing in his hands. He sends us the public defender, with comfort for our hearts. She keeps me mindful of my practice, and when I am not, she reminds me (most often through others...).

I read a lot, think about inter-cultural philosophy and theology, meditate (Kriya Yoga). Have written a few books, composed some odd music, taught at times. I feel connected with the One and with many sentient beings that come therefrom, especially with fellow humans. I enjoy YouTube videos about classical music, science and spirituality, connections with the near and far universe. Have lived in Italy, India, and Brazil.

I now live in the hills above Berkeley, California, in a modest, low-profile monastery called "Incarnation." It is a quiet place, and we have a few rooms for individual, silent retreats.
