My New Year's Resolution is simple: Do one backflip (any kind: standing, wall flip, gainer, etc.) per day. That's it. Sounds simple, right? Well it's not as easy as it sounds.
You may figure that a backflip takes all of 4 seconds to do. But its more difficult than that. This feat isn't about testing my physical ability to do a backflip each day. Its more of a mental feat. As easy as it is to do, its equally as easy to forget. And when its 11:47pm and I haven't done my flip for the day, its damn hard to take the blanket off and get up from the warm couch, and wake myself up enough to go outside in the cold to do the deed.
Its a fun concept. To do a backflip each day, requires that, at one point in the day I was pumped up enough, physically ready (and dressed appropriately) to be able to do such a physical act.
And so, that's the challenge facing me in 2011. Come sickness, physical ailments or whatever, I will find a way to do my flip for the day.
