This Channel is a gathering of things that I have experienced and things I
enjoy. I covers my former life in the United States Air Force and my current life as a corrections supervisor at our county jail. I lived in Okinawa for nearly ten years and since have become involved with the Chicago Okinawa Kenjinkai a group of people most of whom have Okinawan roots. I was made a Goodwill Ambassador by the Governor of Okinawa in 2008 and have decided to post as much about Okinawan culture as I can find to help promote Okinawa to the world. I hope you enjoy what you see here and post your comments for others to see.

The Uchina Goodwill Ambassador position is established to contribute to the development of Okinawa and other countries and regions through expanding and strengthening the human network between Okinawa and other countries and regions, and promoting international exchange and cooperation in economic, cultural, educational, and other such fields.
About Me:

I write the Okinawaology Blog and manage the web site for the Chicago Okinawa Kenjinkai and I'm also a Goodwill Ambassador to the prefecture of Okinawa, Japan. This is a position created by the government of Okinawa that is responsible to promote all things Okinawan to people living outside the country.
Country:
United States
Occupation:
Goodwill Ambassador to Okinawa
Schools:
BS - Concordia University - Wisconsin
Interests:
Okinawan Culture, Dance, and Traditions.Film Production is my Hobby.

I spent a part of my life there. Had one daughter born there. I worked in the missile shop from 85-87. I would love to return one day.
