Interests:
MUSIC: anything from light pop (big Eurovision fan and I'm not ashamed to say it :-)) to classic rock to alternative to R&B and hip-hop. So much good music out there, you could spend many lifetimes listening to it all! MOVIES: also open to anything, from classic Hollywood to modern indie cinema and european cinema
Movies:
Movies: Well, where can I start: anything by Hitchcock or Monty Python, Apocalypse Now, Hotd of the Rings, The Truman Show, Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind, Lawrence of Arabia, Seven... I could go on forever. Shows: The Simpsons, Lost, Friends, Malcolm in the Middle
Music:
See above. This list would actually be even longer than that of my favorite movies... :-)
Books:
The truth is I'm not so much into litterature, although I always get amazed by the incendiary writing and intense drama of George Orwell's "1984" and "Animal Farm" and Steinbeck's "The Grapes of Wrath". And, of course, "The Lord of the Rings" is equally exciting as a book and as a movie trilogy - albeit in different ways sometimes.

Yes, thanks for bringing that up , young man. I too, want to know why Greeks get so touchy over Macedonia. It used to be the old name for Greece? Or was owned by Greece ?

I have fallen WAY behind in the selection process, I can barely keep up with you guys as it is. I will say that so far, of what I've heard, my favourites are Israel, France and Hungary (France and Hungary for the second year running with songs I think highly of). I'll let it mull for a while. Instead, I want to ask you a question that I know is a difficult one, so bear with me - why, when somebody here on YT mentions "Macedonia" and fails to put Former Yugoslav Republic Of in front of it, why is it often met with vitriol from angry Greeks?

Although we might want to reserve judgement for now comparing Quédate Conmigo with Vuelve Conmigo (interesting titles to compare) until we know more, in every respect, the consensus seems to be emerging that the latter is Spain's best effort since the former. If that translates into a Spanish victory, well as a former resident of the city Madrid would for me be a very conducive host city for ESC 2013, but lets not run ahead of ourselves. But I do think songwise and how the songs are received makes this ESC different from any recent one, interesting times ahead. Glad your messages are posting to my page.

Lewis for some reason had the same problem posting comments to my page, I dont know why, but later he seems to have been able to do so. I hope whatever the glitch is/was rectifies itself. Please ty posting again ot my page. Estonia joined the line up tonight - song well sung, rather nice, nothing very special. IMO Lithuania's is better, but Spain has come up with something far superior. Im afraid I like the Dutch entry its got a 'je ne sais quoi' feel to it. BTW I was teasing about that country to the North of yours. Maybe we will have to avoid contentiousness only by referring to the artist :)

Josh was dreadfully out of tune - just listen to his last note ( screetch). As for Emeli (not her real name) she comes from my area I used to live - infact I know her. She was in town last month visiting her old school. And Eurovision, no she wouldnt have done it before she got famous either. Jade was a set up - she was known before the alleged talent show process. Jessica had the luxury of performing in a small arena - althgh i think she would have delivered regardless.

Eh......two words on the new talent ..........Jemini & Josh............new talent hve NOT performed well in such arenas. They , suddenly thrust into stage infront of thousands live & millions on TV just havent cut the mustard. You can never beat experience........little thngs like the ear-piece that Jemini fucked up on, just wouldnt happen to a pro, cause they been there. EXPERIENCE! that why most countries send established acts. The difference is - the rest see the ESC as an opportunity to get noticed, maybe their only chance to be seen worldwide. Thats cant be said of UK artists. THATS THE DIFFERENCE!

Whether we like it or not, this decision has added spice to an already spicy year - SO JUST THINK +VE , you moaning ( never pleased) EUROPEANS! :)
MrEurocat (2 days ago)
Such ageism , and like most of your age group think its quite acceptable! Shocking! Well, after passing out after hearing the decision - the bump to my head must have affected me - Ive accepted it. And hope he can deliver a quality song. I still get annoyed that YT viewers are still calling for Adele, Coldplay, etc etc - THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN. So its either has beens or who-the-hell-is-that? Let me ask you - if Greece decided to enter Nana with a luvely song, would you be so smug? hmmmm?

Euroalmanac got suspended. Lots of comments lost forever once more. And who was the squealer? A company none of us have mysteriously ever heard of? KA-CHING!
