About Me:

My passion for working with animals goes back to when I was a very young boy. When I first wanted to have a dog, I was much too young to care for one. A decade and a half later I brought home my first puppy. Since then I have worked with thousands of parents and their dogs and taught different levels of dog training classes. I feel fortunate to have worked with many breeds because they have all taught me something different.

My goal is to eradicate the attitude that we sometimes develop about our dogs that suggests, "my dog could never do that!". I truly believe that dogs are the most intelligent animals and with positive reinforcement and motivation - the human-canine bond can be used to teach any dog to do anything.

Solea is a 3 year old long-haired german shepherd dog. She is taught using positive reinforcement methods and like any dog, learns best with a gentle, consistent and patient approach.

Hey tab, love your videos man. Really cool training methods.
I wanted to ask you, how can I get my 1 year old dog to obey me? I think he doesn't consider me his master. And I have this new puppy but I can't seem to tech her how to get of my bed.

Just got a 7 week old husky/german shepherd cross and stumbled across your videos looking for new techniques that I could learn to train her. All I can say is, I love your channel and your way of training as it resonates with me and you really do cut out the bullsh*t. Thank you so much for doing what you're doing

My german shepherd is 4 and he is aggressive to people and dogs. I know I am not a strong pack leader but was wondering if you have any suggestions.

Hi Tab! Just subscribed to your channel and I *love* your videos! I'm curious, though, as too why you use crunchy treats during training. I have always been told to to use soft treats (hot dogs, chicken bits, etc) that the dog can eat quickly, so there's 1) no delay in repetition of one behaviour and 2) lower risk of choking. I was wondering if you use the crunchy stuff to specifically delay/provide a bit of a break between reps? Or is it just your dog's preference? Thanks! :)
