I totally disagree with you on Bill M. I think the whole point of the film was to show case how ill informed some religious people are about their religious belief systems. I think it is important to show people how our beliefs influence society as a whole. Ignorance is the root of evil. So why should religious people be allowed to remain ignorant of factual base truth, if they claim they are the abassadors of the "only truth". You call him in asshole but I call him honest.

n btw Faith is not Religion. u don't need 2 believe in talking snake in order 2 believe in god. the spirtual moral concept of the bible is important not its bloody-violent interpetations of jewish fary tales.

i watched your religulous review and although I would consider myself one of those pious people you mentioned. Religulous was recommended to me by one of my atheist friends and I must say, I was not impressed. Not because of my beliefs, although that was a portion of it, but because, like you said, he made himself look like an ass. I want to be a pastor of a methodist church someday, after college and whatnot, so i'm very open to discussing my beliefs and the way i think with anyone who will listen, all I ask is that others be respectful of my beliefs as I respect theirs. This is the reason my friend turned me to this film. I however took issue with it, because I do discuss these topics with many of my friends and none of them have ever acted the way Bill Maher did. I concur with what you said, he made atheistic and agnostic thinkers look like assholes. I commend you for taking a stand against that. luv ya and god bless
