About Stanford Jazz Workshop
Now entering our 40th season, Stanford Jazz Workshop provides week-long summer jazz immersion programs for kids 12-17 and for adults on the campus of Stanford University. When you attend one of the three weeks (Week 1 Jazz Camp, Week 2 Jazz Camp, or Week 3 Jazz Residency) you can stay in on-campus housing or commute from a local residence. The international faculty are among the best jazz performers in the world, and they also participate in the nightly concerts of the Stanford Jazz Festival. Jazz Camp and Jazz Residency focus on small group performance and improvisation, and you'll get lots of playing time during the week, with a performance for friends and family at the end. The videos on our YouTube channel show you what it's like to come to Jazz Camp and Jazz Residency, and also give you a chance to preview our artist faculty in performance.
