The issue is simple: the so-called "Indian Wars" from the days of Sitting Bull and Red cloud have never really ended in the Americas. The Indian people of southern Mexico, of Guatemala and those left in El Salvador as well as the Amazon Rain Forest, too, are still fighting for their lives and for their land against the "Calvary" patrols sent out by the governments of those lands. The Americas are Indian country, and the "Indian problem" is not about to go away.
♦ One earth one mother
♦ One does not sell the earth
The people walk upon
♦ We are the land
How do we sell our mother
How do we sell the stars
How do we sell the air.

About Me:
• American Indians of today are not the people we were one hundred or more years ago.
• We have changed. Why we changed is history. What we are becoming is far more important.
♦ Even in the initial stages of contact between European Christians and Native Indian people the stage was set for ethnocentrism, and the attitude towards the NDNz was that of Christian superiority.
The Indians were read a proclomation in ♠Spanish♠ which they had no hope of understanding.
They had no hope of understanding the death sentence they were being read, and it went something like this.
"We ask and require you to acknowledge the church as the ruler and superior of the whole world and the high priest called pope and in his name the king of Hispania [Spain] as lords of this land.
If you submit we shall receive you in all love and charity and shall leave you, your wives and children free without servitude, but if you do not submit we shall powerfully enter into your country and shall make war against you, we shall take you and your wives and your children and shall make slaves of them and we shall take away your goods and do you all the harm and damage we can."

Books:
Bloody words in history books that you don't see. Sanitized history, lies to me. The United States united without me. I'm only an Indian, They don't count me. The minority majority controlling my destiny. Their decisions and lies don't imprison me. The only good Indian is dead so I think I'll paint my face red! It's time we make a stand. No pangs of conscience in this biblical righteous land. There is no justice all around. 'Just Us' that can't be found. Murder, deaths, lies and deceit. Uncle Sam, do you slither or do you have feet? The only good Indian is dead so I think I'll paint my face red! Hatred disguised in suit and tie. Friendly face smiling, Whispering, die, die, die. Hokahey, today is a good day to die. So haters, kiss your sorry ass good bye. The only good Indian is dead so I think I'll paint my face red! You made an empire with our sacred stones. A carnival from our ancestors' bones. You shot us with guns in the past. Called hunting Indians a sporting blast. So circle your wagons, get your shit straight. Prepare to meet your retribution fate. The only good Indian is dead so I think I'll paint my face red! I will be silent no more. To hell with you, your justice and liberty whore! You created poverty and the poor. Gave us diseased blankets and more. Your fat corrupt politicians rule. Bloated with lies to control the poor Indian fool. Hey there, that money you lent. That's our sacred mountain you spent. Uncle Sam, you steal our land and water, you dig up our graves, chop down the trees. I'm bringing you down to your knees! Hokahey! It's a good day to die!
