The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles
About Me:

The oldest and most experienced animal welfare organization in Southern California, spcaLA was founded in 1877. Our 60 staff members and 450 volunteers are dedicated to our mission to instill respect and appreciation for all living things; to promote humane and anti-violence education; to protect animals against violence (often a precursor to violence against people); to provide for the well-being of animals that are injured, ill, abused, or otherwise in need; and to promote a bond of mutual assistance between people and animals.

As a nonprofit, independently chartered organization, spcaLA is not affiliated with any other "SPCA" or humane society. spcaLA does not receive funding to support its humane programs from any government agency. Financial support for spcaLA is provided by donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Thank you so much for this. I am a regular supporter of the ASPCA and SPCALA. It is a very important cause to me, and I thank you for helping to educate, and raise awareness. We are their voice.
