About this user

I'm an early 30-something writer working on his yet-to-be-finished "Great American (possibly graphic novel) Memoir."

I'm a non-published writer so I still can't quit my day, or, err...night job as the salad guy/bread dude at this corporate-run Italian-themed restaurant. But, more in depth, I'm a bit of a geek. I'm an INTP, but trying to be more INFP (I have more compassion for my fellow man, as I get older) for those of you familiar with what those four letters mean.

Life story: I'm the fourth of six kids (the second son--with two older and two younger sisters), born and raised in Dubuque, IA. I went to the University of Iowa for college, double-majored in Psychology and Art (minors in philosophy and computer science), interned for a while at a Psychology lab, then dropped out in my third year after 9/11 (kinda had a nervous breakdown), lived in Iowa City until I was 27, lived in San Diego for six months, then lived with my parents for nine months back in Dubuque, then moved to Portland, OR for five months, then back to Dubuque for a few months and then finally back to Iowa City.

I'm also a politically Independent/Libertarian, Secular Humanist/agnostic theist. There, I think that covers my personal life, political views, philosophy, and religion in less than 1500 characters. Oh, and I'm also lactose intolerant.
