"Yes, any oil that's liquid at room temperature will work. So, Sweet Almond or Sunflower oil would be good, too!"

kitkatdc18 - Watermelon, Pearberry and Moroccan Mint are all clear and don't discolor soap. Of course, you could not add fragrance to the clear soap you are using on the top of the soap and then just fragrance the back. The image bleeding varies based on how you made the soap, how long you waited after printing to embed, and the type of ink used - so I can't give a definite answer. But all of the techniques I show in the video are to help prevent it. It's always best to test with your particular method, soap base, fragrances, printer, etc. Some printers use pigment inks - I would check with the manufacturer to find out if yours is one of them.
Happy Soaping!

desertsoapstone - We've been searching high and low for good quality cream soap and haven't found one. Soapylove made a whipped soap frosting for cupcake soap on the Soap Queen Blog. It just used melt & pour soap and natural liquid soap - so maybe that would work for you?

Anne Marie will you please show us how we can make Whipped Cream Soap like one brand's poplar "Fluffy Whip." I know we can buy bases for this stuff, but the rule in my shop is to not use anything that registers over level 2 on the cosmetic database. Otherwise may I request a product like this whippy foamy wash from BB that doesn't have any ingredients registering over a level 2? Thank you for all your work.

Hi Anne-Marie. I am going to try the project using water soluble paper. I was wondering if you could tell me what other water white fragrances Brambleberry carries. Also, will these soaps bleed regardless of how you try to prevent it? (Is the hairspray to combat this?) How long will it take before it bleeds? And what pigment based ink did you use? I can't seem to determine if mine is pigment based or not, although I must use an HP printer no matter what. Thanks!

Hi dorlycoelho, Over on the Soap Queen Blog we recently posted a tutorial on making melt & pour soapy cupcakes. The frosting is made with a mixture of melt & pour and liquid soap and mixed whisk until fluffy. But I am also going to make a video on that technique in the next month or so!
Hi TheSoapArtist, It's like you guys are psychic today! We just filmed an episode on rebatch and are in the process of editing it. So that too, is an episode that is coming soon!
Hi jsenicola, Thanks! it's so great to hear that you like my videos and they are actually helpful. Also, thanks for the suggestion - we will definitely add that to our list.
Happy Soaping!

This video is incredibly helpful because not only does it give a step by step tutorial, it also shows all the things that can go wrong, why it happened, and in most cases how to fix it. These candle/soap tutorials are some of the best out there! I also like that you explain some of the science behind all the things we're putting in there and the difference between using certain ingredients over others. Very thorough, yet easy to understand. I plan on making soaps (and possibly candles) as gifts in the near future so this will definitely be my "how-to".

In the future I also would love to see tutorials/recipes for some types of skincare soaps (e.g. moisturizing, exfoliating, etc.) incorporating some more natural ingredients like oatmeal and honey and essential oils.

Hi Anne. I really like your work....I love it!!!! You are so creative and make wonderfull things. Congratulations!!!
I'm looking for a creamy soap recipe...like whipped soap, but without lye. Do you know some technique to do that kind of soap from M&P bases? I'll really appreciate your answer. Thanks a lot!

Hi Haijacker - Glycerin is a by-product of the soapmaking process. So if you are using M&P base, glycerin is already present and if you are making cold process soap it will naturally appear thanks to the magic of saponification! But I don't know of a way to turn glycerin into soap.
