ABOUT SIGNATURE THEATRE
Founded in 1989, Signature Theatre broadens and brightens the region's cultural landscape with its bold productions of Broadway-quality musicals and daring new plays performed in an intimate space. In addition to the finest talent from the DC metropolitan area as well as New York, Signature has been a home to such theater luminaries as Cameron Mackintosh, Terrence McNally, John Kander and Fred Ebb, and, of course, Stephen Sondheim. In its 18 years under Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer, Signature has received 276 Helen Hayes Award nominations and 59 Hayes Awards.
