Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my new channel. Thank you for all of your support and inspiration here on you tube. So glad my move
has been painless and so many of you have followed me here.

Dance and animals, in all of their glorious forms, have always been the greatest passions in my lfe. I was blessed with a family who was just as passionate about the social dances of their generation as I am about theatrical dance, and I am convinced that this is equal in value to all of the ballet training I missed out on it childhood. A late bloomer, I began formal dance training in college, and was later awarded a dance scholarship to the Dancers Synectics Group in San Francisco. Professionally, I have performed on stage nationally and abroad everything from jazz to contemporary, go-go to salsa, and I am a certified dance and pilates instructor. I own and operate my own pole dance company, Shelly's Pole Studio, out of several dance studios in the San Francsico Bay Area, where I share my passion for the art and athleticism of pole dancing with students of all ages and abilities. My philosophy in regards to the art of pole dance is, in a word, TRANSITIONS, if the transitions are not strong and fluid the trick is not worth doing or seeing. I am a self-taught pole dancer, but have in the last year or two taken some lessons with several wickedly talented pole masterers including: JK, Steven Retchless, Estee Zakaar, Felix Cane and Jeneyne Butterfly. I live in San Francisco with the love of my life, Joao, and our three adopted kids: Baby the cat, Bucky the boy dog, and Reina the chow chow.
