Asalaamu Alaaikum my dear brothers and sisters in Islam and greetings to the non-muslim youtubers

Verily all praise belongs to Allâh, we praise Him, seek His Aid and His Forgiveness. Whomsoever Allâh guides there is none to misguide and whomsoever Allâh misguides there is none to guide. I testify that there is none deserving of worship except Allâh alone without any partners and I testify that Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam is His servant and His Messenger.
About Me:

May Allâh, the Exalted, bestow His peace and blessings on the final Prophet Muhammad, upon his good and pure family, and upon all of his noble companions.

O you who believe! Fear Allâh (by doing all that He ordered and abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared, and die not except in the state of Islâm(as Muslims with complete submission to Allâh)
(Qur'ân 3:102)

O mankind! Be dutiful to your Lord, Who created you from a single person (Adam) and from him He created his wife, and from them both He created many men and women; and fear Allâh through Whom you demand your mutual (rights) and (do not cut the relations of) the wombs (kinship). Surely, Allâh is ever an All Watcher over you (Qur'ân 4:1).

O you who believe ! Keep your duty to Allâh and fear Him, and speak (always) the truth, He will direct you to do righteous good deeds and will forgive you your sins. And whosoever obeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great success (Qur'ân 33:70-71).

Verily the most truthful speech is the Book of Allah and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam. The most evil of matters are those which are newly invented, every novelty is an innovation and every innovation is in the Fire.

On the authority of Ibn Mas'ud radiallaahu 'anhu who said that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam said: The two feet of the son of Adam will not move from near his Lord on the day of Judgement until he is asked about five (matters) about his life - how he spent it; about his youth - how he took care of it; about his wealth - how he earned it; and where he spent it and about that which he acted upon from the knowledge he acquired." (at Tirmidhi, and others, see Saheeh Sunan at-Tirmidhi, no. 1969, and as Silsilah as Saheehah no.946).

O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the Qur'an and my example, the Sunnah and if you follow these you will never go astray
[Last Sermon of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alayhi wa sallam]

"...This day, I have perfected your religion for you, completed My Favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islâm as your religion".
(Qur'an, Al-Ma'idah 5:3)
----------------------------

It is reported that Jundub b. Abdillâh Al-Bajalî Allah be pleased with him was once asked for advice and instruction. He said:

I advise you to fear Allâh and obey Him (taqwâ) and I advise you to adhere to the Quran, for it is a light in the datk night and a guidance during the day, so implement it no matter how much struggle and poverty you have to face. If a calamity befalls you, put your wealth forward to protect your religion, and if the calamity continues, put forward your wealth and your life to save your religion [but never risk your religion], for the ruined is he whose religion is ruined, and the looted is he whose religion is taken. And know that there is no poverty after Paradise, and no riches after the Fire.

Al-Dhahabî, Siyar Alâm Al-Nubalâ` 3:174.

It is reported that Sufyân b. Uyainah Allâh have mercy on him said, The intelligent person is not one who merely knows what is good and what is bad. The intelligent person is one who, when he sees what is good, follows it, and when he sees evil, shuns it.

Imam Ibn ul Jawzee

Translated from Ai Imam Ibn Al Jawzee's book Saydul Khaatir
(which can be roughly translated as 'Captured Thoughts')

When listening to a sermon or preaching, one's heart may become vigilant but once one has left the gathering where Allaah is being mentioned, hardness and inattentiveness returns! Reflecting upon the reason for this sudden change, I realised what it was. I noticed that people vary when it comes to this (i.e. the effect of preaching on them). Generally speaking the heart does not assume the same level of alertness during the preaching and after for two reasons: Firstly: Preaching is like whipping which leaves no pain, but it hurts only while being whipped. Secondly: During the sermon, the listener normally has nothing to distract his attention. Mentally and physically setting aside worldly matters and listening whole heartedly. Then once back to the worldly life, he will be attracted by its allurements. How then could one remain in the same state as prior to the sermon? This state of affairs happens to all humanity. However, this affect does vary with those who listen with their hearts. Some of them are unhesitatingly callous to what goes on around them. If they are visited by life's hustle and bustle, they become self conscious, as Handhalah (the companion, radiya Allahu 'anh) said about himself: "Handhalah is a hypocrite..." [in a Hadeeth related by Muslim*] Some others tend to be of a more forgetful character. Sometimes though they excel (in good deeds) after listening to a sermon. In fact, such people are like stalks that sway with the wind! Others are but little affected; the effect on their hearts lasts only for the period of the sermon. It soon disappears, just like water when poured on a smooth rock!

*Hadeeth is as follows:

Handhalah al-Usaidi said:

Abu Bakr (radhiyAllaahu `anhum) met me and asked, How are you, Handhalah? I replied, Handhalah has become a hypocrite. He said, Subhanallaah! What are you saying? I replied, When we are with Allaah's Messenger (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam), he mentions the Fire and the Garden until it is as if we can see them. But when we leave the Prophet's company and play with our wives and children or busy ourselves with our properties, we forget much. Abu Bakr said, By Allaah, I have experienced the same thing. He and I then went to visit the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam), and I said, O Messenger of Allaah, Handhalah has become a hypocrite. He asked, And how is that? I replied, O Messenger of Allaah, when we are with you, you talk about the Fire and the Garden until it is as if we can see them. Then we go out and play with our wives and children and deal with our properties, and we forget much.

The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu `alayhi wa sallam) then said,

By Him in Whose hand is my soul, if you were to continue at the same level at which you were when with me and in remembering Allaah, the angels would shake hands with you when you are resting and when you walk about, but, O Handhalah, there is a time (for this) and a time (for that).
He repeated this phrase three times.
