With the increase in output, I'm aware that I might be coming across as more distant. I wanted to assure you all that the only reason I don't speak with every single one of you is that with this greater demand of time, there just aren't enough hours in the day any more.
I wanted to tell you all that I read every single message and comment you make, even if I don't reply. I take the things you say to heart, I keep the points you make in mind. And I never take you for granted. I do not see your continued presence as a sign of my own awesomeness, but rather as a sign of your confidence that I need to continue to earn. Thank you for your continued support, whether through donations, friendly comments, spreading the word, or just showing up week after week.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1) Where are the Star Trek reviews?
CBS filed a notice against Star Trek reviews despite their status as criticism and parody. They are being gradually redone on sfdebris.blip.tv
2) Where are the Red Dwarf reviews?
The BBC did the same thing. They are likewise being added to sfdebris.blip.tv
3) Can I request a review?
Unfortunately, the sheer number of requests will always exceed the available time slots. At this time, approximately 20% of all live action episodes have been requested by someone. It simply isn't feasible.
4) Then why do I see requested videos?
Donations pay for maintaining the website, purchasing software and materials, and upgrading equipment. For those who make a significant donation to keep the website and videos going, an exception is made and they are allowed to request a video.
5) What is a "significant donation"?
Details on the donation process are available on the website (click on the link above and go to "Help Support SFDebris").
6) Will you do other shows or movies?
I've opened the door for donors who support the videos to request certain non-Trek shows and movies.
7) Is calling Archer "Duchess" a reference to the F/X series?
No, it's just an astonishing coincidence. Archer's been called Duchess in the opinionated guides since even before this channel went up, nevermind the F/X show (and it's highly unlikely the creators got the idea from here).

However, because most of the series is set in England & Scotland, the main protagonist is British & Steampunk is, broadly speaking, set in Victorian era, I would like to pitch the Idea to BBC & see if they liked it. And BBC works with a lot of shows with low budgets that look pretty damn good, just look at Doctor Who, which is a very low budget show even today & their sets & costumes look, forgive me, Fantastic!
"no one got noticed by playing it safe. This is a risk, I'm not arguing that, & if it fails then it will not be pretty, but the benefits far outweigh the risks here" I don't think executives see the world that way
Something I am interested in involves the TNG episode Haven. Chuck mentioned, in his Code of Honor review, that Haven would be an upcoming review. That is also the first appearance of Lwaxana Troi, so I am wondering if Haven is a stand alone review or if it will be the first in a "Lwaxana Troi" theme.
