A retired Teacher of Social Studies (History & Geography) & Art (Painting & Drawing) with a keen interest in researching the "pre-biblical origins" of the Hebrew Bible as being a recast (modification of) of religious beliefs associated with ancient Mesopotamia, Canaan, Egypt, Phonecia, Syria and Greece.
I am a former Christian, and now a Secular Humanist and Atheist upon realizing after 40 years of study and investigation that the Bible is _not_ supported by archaeology or geology, and after noting its many failed prophecies and innumerable internal contradictions.
These videos are presented from a secular (non-religious) and anthropological point of view. It is understood that Israel's beliefs evolved from and are recastings of earlier beliefs, primarily but not exclusively Mesopotamian (ultimately Sumerian).
