"We know each other so well and have played so long together that we've developed this chemistry that's reallyimportant to have in a band," says Jamie.
Sydney adds, "We all get really creative together and I'm never afraid to try something new with my brothers around. It's so comfortable."
Writing & recording with producer Jeffery David (Paul Wright, Root Down Sound, O Town) the band has really defined their sound.
So far, the sessions have produced surefire hits like good-riddance song "Already Gone"—a tune comparable to Orianthi's last-laugh track "According to You," where Sydney cops an I'm-so-over-it attitude you'd think she was a diva twice her age— and "Tonight We're Making History," which bounds with the same contagious energy and lyrical hooks as Paramore's "Crushcrushcrush" and P! nk's defiant "So What?!"
Even when Ready Set Go gets a little more mellow, like on the plaintive "Stop Messing With My Heart," their percolating beats and groovy rhythms make it impossible to sit still.
Following the creative tradition of such musical dynasties as the Jacksons and the Osmonds, Ready Set Go's members have been making and playing music practically since birth. "We just happened to pick different instruments that happened to be a band," Sydney recalls.
But the idea to combine her singing abilities with Noah's bass playing, Graham's drumming and Jamie guitar work into one band didn't strike them until a few years ago, when they performed as a quartet for a cancer benefit. From there, it was a no-brainer for the Sierota clan to create its own brand of insanely catchy, all-ages pop.
The industry is taking notice, too: Ready Set Go has been playing major stages like the opening slot at FishFest 2010, a music festival held at Verizon Amphitheater in Irvine, Calif. The group also traveling across the country playing high schools for the Milk Rocks! tours backed by none other than Gibson Guitars, and just returned from visiting the manufacturer's booth at the annual guitar convention, NAMM, in Anaheim, Calif. They are endorsed by Gibson Guitars, Slingerland Drums, Hermidah Pedals.
Now, after years of dedication, practice and determination, Ready Set Go is as confident as they are camera-ready that they're set to take the world by storm with their new reality show and album.
Things are shaping up nicely as they've just signed to Warner Bros Records.
