Hey rsatov I am glad you gave that a-hole some of your mind. I think I know who I mean. I did not realize how much time, money, care and devotion it requires for seahorses. But all nature whether pets or wild deserve the same. You rock.

aGoogle "seahorse species" for photos - sometimes the crown is the only way to tell tehm apart as it is unique to each species. Although I only have experience with h.kuda's, my understanding is they will all get along. They are very docile. I do not beleive they can cross breed but I have been wrong before. AS far as ease in care, captive bred are a must - wild caught are very difficult and usually impossible to wean onto the types of food available at he fish store. The kuda's are really easy to care for.

A 65 gallon tank is pretty big, if you are going to put other species in with seahorses make sure you do your research first. seahorse.org is a fantastic resource.

hey rsatov, i'm definatly going for seahorses, i've done a lot of research and i have a 65 (usa) gallon aquarium specially for them :D
Its not set up yet, but one thing suddenly striked me what i couldn't find anywhere, and i figured you'd be the person to ask :D
How do you tell the difference betweeen different types or seahorse?
Can different types of seahorse live in the same aquarium?
Can different breeds cross breed?? :/
Whats the easiet type to look after? :D
thanksyou!

Please reply if you have time :D

Caring for seahorses is as simple as feeding them twice a day, cleaning the glass once every day or two and changing 10% of the wateer once a month. Do some research on salt water aquariums and check out www.seahorse.org BEFORE you but your seahorses :)
