About roughsurface
Rough Surface is reference to flying the back country into the mountain airports that have a rough surface. Growing up and flying in Idaho gave me the opportunity to explore the wilderness area of Idaho, in an airplane. What a great experience, I flew a lot with my dad and we ventured into many different small strips. Dad and I also made a regular trip to British Columbia and the Yukon Territories of Canada. Dad loved to go to Atlin Lake just east of Juneau, AK. We started flying up there before Loran was even available. Just an ADF was the only source of navigation most of the trip. Today in Michigan I am still flying the Skymaster and have the pleasure of flying with Larry and Jerry to all kinds of events. If there aren't any events or fly-ins, we make our own. I hope you enjoy our videos as much as we enjoy making them.
