AIBS is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) scientific association dedicated to advancing biological research and education for the welfare of society. Founded in 1947 as a part of the National Academy of Sciences, AIBS became an independent, member-governed organization in the 1950s.

The AIBS Media Library, free online at www.aibs.org/media-library, contains plenary lectures by some of the world's most eminent biologists recorded at AIBS Annual meetings from 2000 onwards with audio, video, slides, and transcripts.

These YouTube postings provide additional AIBS recordings with notable biologists.
