Also, is it just me ,but i am a big Sergio Leone fan and ,eventhough his later works in the once upon a time trilogy(once upon a time in the west, giu la testa and once upon a time in america) are far more serious and analytical than his first dollars trilogy( which are a blend of good story telling, cinematography, music and good escapist action), i am starting to recognize alot of bizare and almost parodical religious imagery in his earlier films. I am not excatly sure if those really convey any meaning or purpose to the establishment of the film or if i am just overthinking stuff.
Rob
I was reading Rob's review of the Shining and was reminded of Dead Ringers which has identical twins played by Jeremy Irons. They are seperate personalities but they don't have any distinguishing features. What if the viewer is mislead in determining their identities in certain scenes? This could have significant impact on how the movie is interpreted. I wouldn't be surprised; Rob's pipeline has Videodrome as an pending review and that was also directed by Cronenberg.
Have you done an analysis of 9 and one half weeks, it would be so nice to hear your point of view.
Thanks!!
