We've begun posting videos from PyCon 2008.

These are mostly raw, unedited videos that will only show the speaker and audience. We hope to edit them later, adding slides and other material, but wanted to make the talks available as soon as possible.
About Me:

PyCon is a North American conference for the Python community. The conference features talks and events for users of the Python programming language and for developers of the underlying implementations (CPython, Jython, IronPython).

PyCon is underwritten by the Python Software Foundation, as part of the PSF's mission to promote and advance the Python programming language.

Thanks for all these videos. Unfortunately, the quality of many videos is very poor and leaves a lot to be desired. Perhaps it's something that can be addressed for future PyCons. For example, see the videos by Alex Martelli - they're of much better quality in terms of both audio and video. Displaying the presentation slides is significantly more important than displaying the presenter.

I hope this videos are planed as part of the Python conferences since this is also has an archieve value.

The quality of the video (especially sound) is not very clear.
Sometimes the speaker leaves the main mic - in which case I can only hear mumbling.
I hope it will improve in the future ;-)

My understanding was that all presentations for which the presenter(s) signed the release would be posted eventually.

Are all the presentations going to be posted?

Can you maybe add a link to the slides with each video? That way, folks can see the slides in one window while the video plays.
