Hey, to everyone that comes here, I just want to say thanks for seeing my videos :). I hope they were fun to watch, useful, or both :D. Story Time/Personal Dance History

Once upon a time, in a European country called Hungary, there was a boy named Seong Hoon Kim. One day, while he was youtubing in his family computer, his older brother Seong Hwa Kim came up to him. "Yah, igut jom ba (Hey, look at this)" he said, and typed in "Popping Hyun Joon" into the search bar. After clicking on one of the clips, Seong Hoon felt the compelling attraction of popping for the first time. Once the clip ended, 17 and a half year old Seong Hoon looked up at his brother and heard these words. "Neega iguh halsoo itda myun, nega impressed dwelguh yah (If you can do this, then I'll be impressed)." Quickly, Seong Hoon resolved to learning how to pop, for the sake of his brother...

I started popping from that day, and gave up on my bboying skills. I would look for popping tutorials and would practice what I could by myself for four months. After this point in my life, I found a friend in California that knew how to pop correctly. He told me the mechanics of tutting, hitting, and correct side-gliding. Listening to his wise advice of using mirrors, I trained on and off for several months. Having aided a number missionary trips with evangelical dances before, I learned fast. Also, having worked with Biola's most known dance group "Xopoc" but gaining little recognition, I decided to youtube my talents. It's been about two years and a half since the beginning now, and I'm staring to get nostalgic for the past so I'll stop here. Anyways, so I guess, here I am :D.

Oh yeah, I found out that my beginning inspiration popping hyun joon was not a real popper later on. The whole popping communities (at least the ones in America, Japan, and Korea... and those three are the 3 best popping countries) is either hating on him or ignoring him because he sucks so much. Imagine how shocked and sad I was to learn that he loses about 73-80% of his popping battles. Even so, he's a great entertainer, rather than a popper, and can put on a good show.

But what does *Dance* mean for you?

Dance? What is dance? People ask me what I think dance is every now and then. Then I have to tell them, I think of it as a demonstration of love. Everyone knows that I'm Christian and I consider dancing a way to show how I love God. But that's not all. Dance is supposed to bring people together too. When you dance with another popper, locker, or breaker/bboy I feel so close to them. I have to agree with my friend Bboy Overdrive, really, American rap is getting hiphop all wrong. It's not about drugs and sex... it's about fellowship. Now enough of this sentimental stuff and let's dance :D!
