Dr. Semingson I like this video because is very clearly to understand how to teach "Main Idea" to children. I learned the three strategies we can use in the classroom to teach main idea or how to get the main idea form a story. The first one is to just focus on the who -- did what or what who did it. I think this strategy is good for three and higher grades. The one I like the most was the star in conecction with the hand. This focus on the five questions, who, what, when, where, how. I thinks this helps children to really develop a well main idea plus it helps them to summaries the story. Finally, the pocket chart that is kind of similar as the star. I learned these three very well to use them in my future classroom. thank you
