so it's really really cold out, and I'm walking by this place that used to be my bank.. but now it's a store for some stuff, and this woman is doing a full yoga work out in the front window. pretty impressive stuff, just to stand there without my right glove on, so I could hold the camera. Let alone what it must've been like doing yoga in this weather.

I was on a pathway in the middle of Central Park, Midnight struck and the fireworks started exploding. I walked down from Belvedere Castle, wanting a clearer shot, but realizing that wasn't possible from where I was. You hear the sounds of cars passing on the 79th St throughway, and cop telling someone to pull over on a PA system.. what a delight, to get a traffic ticket at midnight, on new years eve. I shot through the trees, to see the fireworks outlined by branches and leaves. It was so beautiful to see the colors outlined by nature...

One of the classiest things about the Bronx, is the yearly Christmas decorations at "The Garabedian House" also known as the "Bronx Christmas House.". Seriously, it's mesmerizing. All sarcasm drips away, and you give in to the Pageantry. Each year they change things around, and you wonder, how they keep doing it. I went by on Christmas Day, and it was weird to see the family inside, doing Christmas like things. Then, they came out and were enjoying the crowd of people and how excited people were, in front of their house. Someone actually proposed while I was there... It was like a movie in a movie. I decided to make my homage to this place with the great Englebert Humperdink's version of "Spanish Eyes", which they were playing at one point, while I was there. I think it's up till the beginning of January.. you owe it to yourself, to check this out Here's a map, you can figure out directions http://www.yelp.com/map/garabedian-ho...

A conversation I happened upon, at the #ows Duarte Park D17 gathering. The idea, that as evil as Hitler was, the idea of destroying your own water supply, is strategically, just going to end wrong. How we got to Rommel, the desert fox, was a quick left turn from there. . and how we got back to Trinity Church, owning 10 Billion in property holdings, was just a hop skip and a jump. wow, that's a lot of property holdings. We get a fast greeting by Bishop George Packard, and his wife Brook, who shares the numbers on Trinity's holdings. The Bishop (rt), gets arrested an hour later, when everyone marched around Soho, and then up to the fence of Duarte Park, he was the first to climb over. He's a spry devil... check out his blog http://bishopsnotebook.blogspot.com/

It was a hot hot day in the middle of the summer, and I happened upon a Lemonade stand, with these great kids selling some tasty drinks... It was to raise money for their garden. which is one of my favorite community gardens.... The Children's Magical Garden de Carmen Rubio is a NYC garden for everyone, and especially for kids on Manhattan's Lower East Side. It has been supporting kids and community for over 25 years, and is currently asking for lots of support to make it permanent and help it to thrive, as some greed blighted people would prefer it to be a luxury condo. Located on Stanton Street between Norfolk & Essex. F train to Delancey walk 2 blocks north. (uptown)
