The Parliament of the World's Religions is being held in Melbourne, Australia December 3-9, 2009. Over 10,000 people from all over the world are expected to meet and engage in interreligious dialogue and address global issues such as:
* Healing the earth with care and concern
* Reconciling with indigenous peoples
* Overcoming poverty in a patriarchal world
* Securing food and water for all
* Building peace in the pursuit of justice
* Creating social cohesion in village and city
* Sharing wisdom in the search for inner peace.

All people, those who identify themselves as religious, those who identify themselves as spiritual and those who care about these issues but do not subscribe to any faith are invited.
