By 1998 he turned his attention to the Dance floor, and reinvented himself as a recording artist with "Who Wants To Be Your Lover" on Interhit Records. The single was produced by top shelf Music Producers the Berman Brothers. Also Chris Cox and Barry Harris who later became 'Thunderpuss.'
The music video for "Who Wants To Be Your Lover" proved to be very popular in the Dance Clubs across the US and the single itself hit #1 in Japan.

"FASHIONISTA" HITS BIG!
Still wishing and struggling to release another record, it would not happen again until 2006 when the self-penned "FASHIONISTA" (Made Records) got major distribution. Currently the single is played in Dance clubs, Fashion shows and sometimes on television around the world. "FASHIONISTA" is from the album 'JAMESTOWN' (a concept album with all lyrics written by Jimmy James). The album is available on iTunes and at Best Buy, Amazon, Virgin, FYI, Border Books etc...

With talented music producer Markus Moser (iio "Rapture") at the helm, James has finally found his own voice. One only needs to do a search of "FASHIONISTA" on YouTube to see the influence that Jimmy James is having on a whole new generation.
