About Restoration of Olde Surber Station
Surber was one of the stops for the C&O Railroad that carried passengers and cargo between Eagle Rock and New Castle, VA. The Surber family lived there and maintained the post office for mail carried by the train. These videos documents the restoration of this 1830 log house with a 1890 frame house addition. The home is available for vacation rental.
