finally, I found your comment I've been looking for it all over. Yes, it's just an under piece to keep the scarf in place and to keep your hair from showing kind of like a hair band. I would recommend wearing an under piece to keep your hair in place. IF you're looking to wear the scarf like the way I have it on in this video all you have to do is take a squared scarf and fold it so that it looks like a triangle. Then you just place the "triangle" over your head so that the top of the triangle is hanging on your back and the Base of the triangle is right at your for head. Then you should have the 2 sides of the triangle hanging on each side of your face. so just grab them and tie 2x so that the knot is at the back of your neck.

I felt like I was explaining a math equation..hehe if that was too confusing just let me know. I hope that helps though.
