About Me:

Hey, everybody! This is Jeff Daniels and you've tuned into to my Official Channel chronicling my adventures as an actor, musician, playwright, and proud member of the human race. In the coming months, I'll be randomly posting a little bit of everything having to do with...well, me. Basic stuff; observations, writings, photos. And I'll throw all that narrative navel-gazing up against that old Internet Wall-In-The-Sky and see what sticks. Hope you enjoy seeing it as much as I plan to enjoy doing it.

Have guitar, will travel!

This past August, I jumped into my Recreational Vehicle - the same Travel Supreme Bus that traversed the Upper Peninsula of Michigan during a 22" snow storm - and gigged my way through Michigan into Indiana, Memphis, all the way to Music City, USA: Nashville. Accompanying me were my son, Ben Daniels (bendanielsband.com) and Brad Phillips, a fine mandolin and fiddle player.

Armed with my trusty Flip Camera, we chronicled our journey and have now - just for you - cut together a three part video diary of our musical adventure entitled, "11 GIGS IN 10 NIGHTS".

Oh! check out jeffdaniels.com for ... KEEP IT RIGHT HERE, my latest CD. After the tour, Brad and I went into a Michigan recording studio and captured the performance we gave in Nashville. Once in the studio, we were lucky to add Dominic John Davis on Upright Bass.

I'm very excited about this latest effort!

Enjoy the video and the CD!

Thanks!

Jeff Daniels

HI Jeff Thanks for the add. The Livonia town hall meeting was a HUGE success and this is only the beginning. I'm keeping the fight alive on my Facebook page and have already had several debates with people who have failed to inform themselves on the issue of the tax incentives and what it means for Michigan. I'm posting every link i can to help get the word out. Thanks again for coming out to speak especially when you weren't feeling well.

"I love living in Michigan, which has been great for my kids and my family. I just never did buy this idea that you have to live in Los Angeles to be an actor. I didn't see that as a requirement in my job description. We do have an airport in Michigan. Basically, years ago we had a child and wanted to raise our baby in a part of the country that we understood. My agent said, 'If you're willing to go to L.A. at your own expense for a meeting, then we're fine. Don't ever tell us that you can't afford it.' I think Michigan keeps you sane and on an even keel through the ups and downs. In Michigan, I do fireworks, shovel snow and live life."

I couldn't agree more with the person that said this. :)) I'll take the lake states and midwest over lala-land any day.

You should get yourself a CB radio(aka a bitch box) for your 'bus' if you don't already have one. You could probably find all sorts of material for your songs on there. Personally I keep mine turned way down these days, it's just not the same today as it was when I first started driving truck back in '88'.

With regard to "Doc part 1" sorry but, LOL. Welcome to my world. Take that same scenario and imagine yourself behind the wheel of a 75' long semi maneuvering down narrow streets, and around tight corners with people in their tiny little vehicles that seem to think a vehicle that large can maneuver like their tiny little vehicles do. Since I just got a new video camera today at ABC Warehouse you can stay tuned for 'DUH TV' a channel featuring Americas dipshit drivers as seen from the cab of a semi.
