The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) was established a registered in 1953, as a non-governmental and non-profit multi-sport national organization under the Societies Act 1966 (Revised 1987). With the establishment the Sports Development Act 1997, the Council is now registered with the Commissioner of Sports' office in the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
