Ask Congress for Bold Leadership on Fish Farming
The recent misguided decision by the Commerce Department on the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Councils Aquaculture Fishery Management Plan only makes the need for national fish farming standards all the more urgent. The Gulf plan sets a dangerous precedent for other regional councils to develop their own plans without consistent, overarching environmental protection.
