About Me:

For me the beauty of the mountainous uplands of the British Isles was discovered out of a need to investigate. This discovery only enhanced an already sown seed of interest in photography. When coupled with a hill list this instinct for investigation has lead me to completing 16 rounds of the Welsh 2,000 footers, including an ascent of every one of these mountains in each individual month of the year. This is still the only known monthly calendar round to be achieved amongst the British hills.

My interests through hill walking include extensive research into Welsh upland place-names, the historical element and evolution of hill lists, as well as various personal hill list compilations and the surveying of hills.

This You Tube Channel is a progression from my love of photography. For me the moving image is a relatively new medium, I have neither the knowledge or expertise for the uploaded clips to be considered by a critical eye, please view them as such. Hopefully some will be fun, and others may interest fellow hill baggers. My surveying activities with John and Graham appear on a separate YouTube Channel under the moniker of GandJSurveys.

My YouTube Channel starts with John and Anne Nuttall's completion of their 3rd round of the Welsh 2,000 footers atop Moel Eilio.

Clips of interesting episodes and interviews on a variety of hill related subjects have and will be posted intermittently on this site. I hope some will be of interest, please enjoy.

The opinions and views expressed by those interviewed are theirs alone and do not necessarily reflect my own.

Myrddyn Phillips.
