Capitalism is the incentive for people to think on their own to make Society better. A product that does not make society better through improving individuals will not sell. Therefore, people's goal in a capitalistic society should be to make and sell a product that promise a better society and better opportunities. One's great idea should benefit more than just one, or else it is not a great idea at all. The rich and powerful must cultivate their resources better in order to insure continued return. And the only way to do that is to take less of the pie so more can eat. Because in the end, it is not the individuals that put forth the actual work to execute the great idea.

Wealth is proportional to value...or at least it was always intended be !

Those people who are valuable to the people in the community, like doctors, entertainers and documentary film makers, are also wealthy in due proportion to their acquired value.
I see nothing wrong in their acquired wealth, its appropriate that you make money for your efforts by those that appreciate the fruit of your labors.

Instead, its the dishonesty and greed that acquires wealth from the community without regard to having any intrinsic value in the community that ultimately destroys the capitalist system.

I love your Work Michael, your valuable to me and to so many others through out the world. I want you to be rich, you simply deserve it.

Michael Moore should first learn to differ between capitalism and big goverment. Capitalism ain't about politicians making decissions to make some more profitable, thats what central banks are for. Capitalism is about anyone with an idea will be able to make his/her living from it, by providing the society with a product or service that makes the society better of. Greed ain't specific for capitalism, thats in nature of the human. And by standing up for big goverment that is suppoused to secure the poor you acctually give them the rights to choose who to benefit and who not to. And thats not how it should be done! Just take the tax cut for first time home byers, who does it really benefit? Not the poor guy for sure, as homeprices get much higher as there are more bidders in the market. So who are the winners, the bankers and the home seller of course. But still, people vote for these guys to sitt there to make decissions that they claim will make the poor man better of.

Sorry..new format for me..anyway...I bleieve the more effective response to this unreasonable badgering would have been for you to boldly state that "No what I'm saying is that I want everyone to pay their Fair share. I want people to make a fair wage for the work they do, and to take home a fair portion of their earnings. The word fair is arbitrary and this is obviously where the debate begins but one thing for sure the to 1% have 90% of the wealth is not fair in any ones world.
Also as far as his paying 60% of his income i combined taxes goes you should have simply said" dude if thats true &I seriously doubt that it is, then you seriously need to get a new accountant" That guy is so full of "it"...
