Such a beautiful song. The Ella fervor has always eluded me, but this fabulous orchestration in the hands of some of the finest session men in the business is heaven to hear.... Simply superb.

@middlepsycho Davis was OK for her time; kind of corny for today, though. More of a personality than an actress. Streep is miserable with accents, and often over-acts; I feel very strongly that she is grossly overrated. Rowlands, as always, is excellent.

She just can't seem to get into the Fosse rhythm & feel.... Amazingly, she's out of synch with the chorus at times as well! (I think I'm used to her being perfect and acing everything else she performs.) But it's always a treat to see and hear her. And she sure has some great gams!

Didn't this fella star as the magical boy... Harry Popper, or somesuch? Not too great with the voice, but this boy has some OK moves! (He could use some help in the wardrobe department, though -- his slacks are a bit snug.)

Ridiculous choreography for the first part (the vocal) -- a move per second! Towards the end of the number, I noticed that little Goldie Hawn popped into the number, as well.... I think she's was even trying to join in with some of the chorus singing and dancing, too! ;o)

What a mess.... Did you see all the debris (from the dirty piercing nail) fall to the floor when you pierced the seal? That crap gets under your shoes and transferred to carpets and floors.... It really is a good idea to wipe the gun and piercing nail clean after use. Good grief.

She consistently gets the lyric wrong, so it doesn't make sense. It's "IF that's all there is my friend," not "IS that all there is my friend..." Plus, she's actually a fairly rotten singer.

She wasn't ready to perform in public. Cute, but definitely not a natural singing talent.

This is a delight -- SUPERB work!!! It's great to hear someone with ball-busting talent acting silly and hella funny.... I loved every note.
