mjpschleese Q. A question was asked in regards to why our videos show us not using saddle pads. We do not use pads DURING THE EVALUATION so that we can clearly see a dust pattern on the horse's back after a short pre-exam ride to assist us in the diagnosis of saddle fit. For example, if the saddle is sliding or falling to the right, we are then likely to see that the dust pattern of the left panel will actually be close to or actually right on the spine which we want to prevent - dust patterns help!

Does anyone know if older Schleese saddles are adjustable. I was looking at purchasing one but it is a narrow and I think I need at least a medium. It is such a good price that I was hoping it is adjustable, but she says it isn't. It is a JES model from 1997 so a much older saddle. I will be measuring my horse per these videos to see if maybe it can be a match.

I have been looking for a saddle for several months and have sat in dozens, none were comfortable. Today I sat in a Schlesse saddle and I instantly knew I had to try it on my horse because it seemed made for me. In researching your saddles, I discovered your video series which is an excellent easy to understand series. I thought the female saddle fitting videos were so informative and those benefits were exactly what I felt today sitting in a Schlesse saddle. I am looking forward to using this information tomorrow as I try the saddle on my horse. Thank you for this exceptional information and making a saddle built for a woman.
