National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR www.milldogrescue.org) was founded in February 2007 for two principal purposes to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home retired breeding dogs and to educate the general public about the cruel realities of the commercial dog breeding industry. To date, we have rescued 2,617 mill dogs and are currently developing three educational programs that will be widely distributed for use through animal welfare organizations and school systems throughout the country. It is our belief that a well-informed public will affect the greatest change in this industry and that children will be our most valuable messengers
