WHAT IS MIFA

Established in 1995, Malaysian International Fashion Alliance (mifa) is an event-related company specialising in the conceptualisation, organisation, management and marketing of fashion events and programmes both locally and internationally.

Focusing on discovering and developing local talents in the fashion industry, mifa's ultimate vision is to establish Malaysia as the hub of Asian fashion. Mifa provides viable platforms for Malaysian designers to showcase their creations locally and internationally. This allows local brands to get exposure and experience through idea and international trade exchanges.

Mifa also provides assistance and support to Malaysian fashion designers in terms of brand-building, business marketing and other possible initiatives to enhance, expand and evolve their fashion enterprises to be on par with the global fashion scene.

Launched in June 2010, mifaTV is an exclusive platform that features the ins and outs of the local fashion scene. The online channel airing fashion and lifestyle programmes focuses mainly on the Malaysian fashion and lifestyle industry. It offers a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes, what the industry has to offer and how we can be on par with the global fashion scene. It allows audiences to have a feel of the work that mifa and the fashion industry do to promote Malaysian fashion to the world. This in turn is hoped to generate more interest towards local designers and the local fashion scene. MifaTV's programmes are uploaded regularly on the mifaTV Youtube channel and fans are encouraged to interact especially through Facebook comments.
