CAIR-MI Sharia and Religious Laws in the U.S. Legal System
Over 20 states have introduced variations of Anti-Sharia laws within state legislatures. Recently a bill was introduced into the Michigan legislature which sought to ban foreign and religious law.
This briefing was held at the Michigan State House building to discuss religious laws in the U.S. legal system including Sharia, Christian, and Jewish laws. HB 4769"The Restriction of the Application of Foreign Laws" bill was also specifically discussed.
