All the video footage available on this channel originates in and augments the dispatches published at www.michaelyon-online.com. Although some of the clips can stand alone all benefit from the context and detail available in the original dispatches.
About Me:

For the past 3 years, Michael Yon has become best known for his web-based photojournalism and in particular for his frontline dispatches from Iraq and Afghanistan, which are published at: www.michaelyon-online.com Although he had no formal training for experience with either photography or journalism careers, Michael's work chronicling the conflicts that have dominated the news quickly gained attention, earning him both prestigious industry awards and popular acclaim.

Michael Yon is a fascinating person whose life experiences are as wide ranging as his imagination and list of talents. A natural storyteller, Yon communicates with ease and charm whether on camera or in print. One of the youngest soldiers ever to pass the grueling Green Beret selection process, Yon's biography includes so many accomplishments, in such diverse areas, that "amazing" seems inadequate to the task of describing this man. Whether starting successful businesses behind the Iron Curtain, or tracking cannibals in Indian jungles, or traversing the Anna Purna Circuit in search of the perfect sunset--these are just a few of Yon's way stops on a lifetime journey that continues today with no sign of ending any time soon. "I intend to be the first blogger in space," Yon says, revealing a life long passionate interest first ignited in a childhood spent watching the Apollo launches from his backyard in Florida

I have read "Moment of Truth In Iraq" and continue to suggest to anyone who talks down to our mission in Iraq or to our soldiers to read your book. It is a great book.

I got to listen to you on talk radio (770 KTTH The Truth) a little bit ago and I was very moved by what you had to say. I pray that God will keep you safe, and please let the troops know, there are lots of prayers being said for their safe return. (I wish there was a soldier nearby for me to hug right now.)

I caught your blogs and website online and am very glad you have a Youtube channel. Your writing is superb and provides the needed contrast that the general media lacks.
I would be grateful if you would accept my Friend invitation, if you decline I understand no hard feelings.
