Bio:
Dutch guitarist Matt Otten started playing guitar at the age of 10, took lessons in classical guitar for seven years, during which he already became interested in jazz, started listening to the great jazz pioneers, and began to study the art of improvisation. In the years that followed, he continued to teach himself, hooked up with musicians and soon started to be recognized as a serious jazz player.

Some years ago he met singer Maria Harp and they ended up producing several albums together. The combination of Maria's and Matt's musical interest led to a widening of the scope of Matt's music, to fusion and pop, which is apparent in their second album, for which Matt wrote the music, and recorded with a crew of internationally renowned guests from various musical worlds, such as Niels-Henning Orsted Pedersen, Gary Willis, and Pino Palladino. Their latest duo album is an intimate acoustic album of just guitars and voice. Matt has also taken part in several other CD albums and has released his own 'Secret Combination' a contemporary mix of jazz and smooth rhythms and sounds, again showing his versatility as a universal guitar player with a strong jazz sense, and as a composer/producer.
Guest vocalist Maria Harp is featured on 3 tracks.
Matt Otten is endorsed by Peerless Guitars Europe.

You have amazing tone dude. I'm from new Orleans... have you ever heard of a guitarist named Steve Masakowski? Your solo playing reminds me a little of him.

I love jazz and guitar .....the 2 together is heavenly.
your style embodies the perfect union of the instrument and the genre.
